 讲座人：

Vasken Mardikian

是一位艺术家兼策展人,现在浙江传媒学院主讲《西方当代艺术和艺术史》课程。

曾于2008 年获得富布赖特奖学金,毕业于耶鲁大学,师从Peter Halley, Mel Bochner 和Robert Storr。

此前,曾在韩国首尔的檀国大学(DankookUniversity)讲授现当代艺术史课程。2008到 2010年间,在纽约布鲁克林经营独立艺术空间“The Cabernet Initiative”,组织和策划了 各类展 览、电影赏析、讲座和音乐会等活动。

作为艺术家，他曾被南极艺术工作室驻地（首尔）、斯沃琪和平饭店艺术馆（上海）和Kulturresidens Tranas（瑞典）选中。他的作品曾在布鲁塞尔、巴黎、纽约、迈阿密、京都、首尔、上海举办个展和群展，并在VoicesNews、MutualArt、artexpo（比利时）和PublicArt（韩国）上发表评论或发表。

本活动分为讲座和工作坊两部分。专为初级水平的学生设计，帮助他们更好地理解现代及当代美术作品。

有时现代或当代艺术作品的晦涩难解，让人心生畏惧。但如果掌握了更好地理解现代作品的工具，就能带来令人兴奋的体验。

讲座部分，将深入浅出地探讨克劳德-莫奈和文森特-梵高等印象派和后印象派画家的作品，以及他们对绘画演变的影响。将通过亨利-马蒂斯（Henri Matisse）和瓦西里-康定斯基（Wassily Kandinsky）的作品，更好地理解抽象表现主义以及威廉-德-库宁（Willem de Kooning）和杰克逊-波洛克（Jackson Pollock）等艺术家的作品。随后的工作坊将让学生在艺术家的指导下，以有趣的方式探索绘画媒介。

为保证工作坊的体验，人数上限为30人。

This lecture has been designed for beginner-level students and doesn't require a deep knowledge of Modern and Post-Modern Art. It can sometimes feel intimidating to stand in front of a modern or contemporary artwork, but it can also be an exciting experience if one has the tools to better understand it. The lecture will lightly explore the work of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters such as Claude Monet, and Vincent Van Gogh and their influences on the evolution of paintings. We will navigate through the work of Henri Matisse and Wassily Kandinsky to better understand Abstract expressionism and the work of artists such as Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock.

The workshop will be the opportunity for the students to explore in a fun way the painting medium.
