“Escape from the epidemic through painting and stick together" Painting Exhibition is the first series of "Walking to See the World" Exhibition. Associate Professor Mei, Director of the Advertising Department of Tongji University, and the counsellor of the International School comprehensively considered the works from the perspective of professionalism and conception, and selected 11 paintings of international students from 25 submissions with the author's authorization for the exhibition. Through their paintings, the international students express their personal reflections during the epidemic from different cultural perspectives, showing their determination to overcome difficulties, their pursuit of personal values and their understanding of the community of life on earth. The paintings generally reflect deep humanistic feelings, and many of them are highly distinctive of their national cultures and highly artistic. Topic “Escape from the epidemic through painting and stick together” The topic of this exhibition is “escaping from the epidemic through painting and stick together", and we have received many submissions from international students. Some of them painted the picture where they had online classes with other Tongji students and teachers after overcoming the difficulties of time difference, network, environment, etc. because the epidemic prevented them from coming to China; some of them compared the emergence of the turnaround of the epidemic to the change of seasons through their paintings, and expressed their hope for the returning spring.
