Chinese Class is an activity run by Tongji University Library, which is held every Tuesday at Room 1408 from 6:45pm to 7:45pm. It aims to help foreign students who like Chinese learn spoken Chinese. As of June, all the 13 lessons in this semester have been completed.

Let's review the wonderful moments of this term.

Meet in China

It's spring again! Students from all over the world gathered in the Chinese Class and began to study Chinese.

At the first course, the Chinese student taught foreign students how to introduce themselves and ask for personal information in Chinese. At the end of the course, more than ten foreign students knew each other and became friends.

Make friends in China

Unconsciously, the semester has passed halfway. As the course progresses, foreign students and Chinese volunteers have formed a profound friendship and experienced a colorful life in China.

For foreign students, shopping in China is the most exciting thing! If you want to go shopping in China happily, you should also have the ability to exchange money in Chinese. Therefore, the lecturer introduced the shopping terms and how to exchange money in Chinese.

When you come to China, you must enjoy Chinese cuisine! Hot pot, dumplings, Spicy crayfish……Chinese food is varied and delicious. One of our lessons in April was about Chinese cuisine and how to order.

The direction of inquiry is what everyone will face abroad. In the second course of April, Chinese students introduced how to seek help and ask for directions in Chinese.

Early in May, the weather was slightly cool, which is a good time to travel together and promote friendship. In the Chinese Class, Chinese students and foreigners asked about the current situation, "How are you doing?" and issued an invitation - "Are you free tomorrow?" After this lesson, foreign students can use Chinese to make friends and appointments more easily!

Upcoming farewell

Time flies, the summer is coming, the friends will soon be welcoming the final exam, the Chinese class of this semester is coming to an end, Chinese and foreign partners are reluctantly welcoming the June curriculum.

Hobbies and interests can help us relieve the pressure of study and add color to our life. In the first class in June, the lecturer taught foreign students how to express their interests in Chinese.

The second lesson in June is also the last one of the Chinese class this semester. The lecturer introduced the Chinese expression of weather to the foreign students. From winter to summer, everyone worked side by side and built a deep friendship and sincere feelings in the Chinese class!

Thanks for being here

In the Chinese class of this semester, international students have learned the daily expression of Chinese in learning, making friends, traveling and so on, which greatly facilitates the study abroad life of foreign friends and enables them to better understand China and integrate into China.

For the volunteer students who gave lectures, the teaching of Chinese classroom not only improved their English level, but also met many foreign friends and enriched their experiences. It is a rare and interesting experience.
