On the evening of September 17th, the first event of inheriting "Artisan Spirit" activities launched by German library, "March towards intelligent manufacture-Embrace the Fourth Industrial Revolution", was successfully held in the lecture hall on the second floor. Wenrui Jin, an associate Professor expert in information and intelligence, delivered this lecture.

Starting from the history of "manufacturing industry", Mr. Jin shared the development of it. He explained the profound evolution from the general manufacturing industry to the new generation of intelligent manufacture in simple language. Mr. Jin also introduced the basic principles of the new generation of intelligent manufacture: human-information-physical system (HCPS). Under the explanation of Mr. Jin, students had a further understanding of the current intelligent manufacture.

Freshmen from Tongde School listened carefully and took notes. During the question session, students and teachers raised some questions combining the content of the lecture and their own understanding. Mr. Jin encouraged students to think about how to grasp the main stream of industrial development under the biggest change in a century and how to embrace the future of intelligent society and Industry 4.0 era. At last, Mr. Jin encouraged students to attend some industrial exhibitions to learn about the latest trends of industrial development. The lecture came to a successful conclusion amidst applause.
